SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT

What is this course about?
This course will allow participants to learn about critical economic, social and environmental issues of hydropower. It will provide an introduction to basic sustainability issues related to existing and new hydropower project. Participants will acquire a general understanding of sustainability assessment and the application of the world's first hydro-specific sustainability rating tool, the IHA Sustainability Assessment Protocol (SAP).
Who should attend?
This course will benefit people who are involved in managing water and energy issues on various levels, namely hydropower professionals, financing agencies, investors, governmental authorities including regulators, interest groups and research organisations.
