Deputy Vice-President, EDF Hydropower Generation and Engineering Division
Antoine Badinier has been vice-president development of EDF Hydro Generation and Engineering since June 2014. He is in charge of assets and concession contract management, environmental and water aspects and development. He was previously synergies coordination vice-president of corporate finances for the EDF Group, responsible for coordinating the synergies and operational excellence aspects of the Transformation Plan 2011–2015, based on lean six sigma methods.
Until mid-2010, Antoine Badinier was strategy and business lines vice-president at the international division of EDF, covering a wide range of aspects such as strategy, synergies, internal control and audit, governance policy of the affiliated companies out of France (except UK), and contributing to a number of development and acquisition projects.
Antoine joined the EDF Group in early 2002 as deputy to the executive vice-president of the Corporate Strategy Division, after having managed a local gas and electricity distribution unit in France.
He has 35 years of experience in the energy sector, mainly in gas (four years on a production field in Algeria, four years in Gaz de France R&D, five years in Gaz Metropolitain, Canada) electricity (local distribution) and international joint project development. He spent the early part of his career working in the oil industry in Venezuela, after graduating as an engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Paris.
