Senior Hydropower Advisor, Mott MacDonald

Bruno Trouille joined Mott MacDonald as senior hydropower advisor in May 2016. He previously spent 37 years at MWH Global (now Stantec), most recently as vice president of their energy and industry group.

Over his career, Bruno Trouille has been involved in the development of major water resource schemes, pumped storage projects, dams and hydro plants. He has worked closely with international financing institutions and private developers to put together investment programmes and detailed financial analyses, as well as concession and power purchase agreements for hydro projects.

He has also authored a number of papers on hydropower financing and economic trade-offs between power and non-power benefits, and has been chair of the pumped storage sessions at the HYDRO conference since 2009.

Bruno Trouille graduated with an MS in engineering from the Institut Catholique des Arts et Metiers in Lille, France, and also holds an MS in industrial relations from Loyola University, Chicago, US.
