Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEP) is providing an exclusive opportunity for registered participants of the congress to visit Gilgel Gibe III, currently the largest hydroelectric project in Ethiopia, with an installed capacity of 1,870 MW.
Inaugurated in December 2016, Gibe III virtually doubles the country’s electric capacity. It is a milestone achievement as part of Ethiopia’s Growth and Transformation Plan that aims to bring the country’s total output to 40,000 MW by 2035.
