David HARRISON

Senior Advisor, Global Water, The Nature Conservancy

David Harrison is a water resources lawyer in Boulder, Colorado, retired and of counsel with the firm of Moses, Wittemyer, Harrison and Woodruff, P.C. He works as a consultant to The Nature Conservancy acting as senior advisor to the Global Water Team, supporting the Saving Great Rivers priority, focusing on Sustainable Hydropower. He is currently focusing on the application of that approach at demonstration projects the Tapajós River, in the Brazilian Amazon, and other Amazon Basin projects. He currently serves as chair of the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol Council and Governance Committee. He was a member of the Board of Governors of The Nature Conservancy from 1980-1990, and was Chairman of the Board during 1988 and 1989. He has degrees in law, 1971, and Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, 1968, from the University of Colorado.
