|Date:||Wed, 02/21/2018 to Fri, 02/23/2018|
The Global SDG7 Conference is a preparatory meeting held from 21-23 February 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting, organised by UN ESCAP, will support the review of Sustainable Development Goal 7 at the UN High-level Political Forum in July 2018.
The meeting brings together stakeholders from governments, UN system and other international organisations, the private sector, and civil society, to discuss the integrated and cross-cutting nature of sustainable energy and its multiple roles in supporting the achievement of the SDGs.
This recognises the fundamental role of sustainable energy in achieving almost all of SDGs, from the eradication of poverty through advancements in health, education, water supply and industrialisation, to combating climate change.
