CSR officer, EDF Hydro-engineering Centre

Fabien Nathan (PhD) is a sociologist and CSR officer at EDF – Hydro-engineering Centre (EDF-CIH). He has over 15 years of experience in research and applied sociology, especially in developing countries. He completed a PhD in development studies and has worked as researcher and consultant in social vulnerability and resilience, urban development, indigenous people and livelihood strategies, including for the UN. He has carried out numerous Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) related to hydropower and other infrastructure in Africa, Latin America and Asia, compliant with international standards. He is currently performing social studies, assessments, planning and actions throughout all the project cycle for hydropower projects abroad.
