Kelly Malone serves as a partner and head of the Global Power Team at King & Spalding, an international law firm based in the United States with offices in Singapore, the Middle East, London, Moscow and Paris.
He specialises in the development, financing and construction of major hydropower projects and other infrastructure projects in emerging market countries.
Kelly has advised/represented national governments, state-owned utilities, project sponsors, international consortia and financial development institutions during the development, privatisation, sale, acquisition and/or financing of more than 50 power and other infrastructure projects located in 22 countries.
He has advised on the development of more than 10,000 MW of hydropower projects during the past ten years. Prior to practicing as a lawyer, Kelly Malone studied engineering and worked as a civil engineer on the design of nuclear power projects in Italy and on the construction of hydropower projects in the United States.
