Deputy Director of Science, Technology and Environment Department, Vietnam Electricity

​Mrs Lê Thi Ngoc Quynh is a qualified engineer by training and holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Chang Mai University in Thailand. Mrs Quynh has been with Vietnam Electricity since 1999 and is currently Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Environment Department. As well as leading on developing an Environmental Management System for EVN’s headquarters, Mrs Quynh has also gained considerable experience in developing environmental codes of practice for both EVN and EVN’s subsidiaries and in training staff around environmental management to comply with Government legislation and Donor safeguard policies. Among her many responsibilities concerning hydropower development, Mrs Quynh is responsible for reviewing all Environmental Impact Assessments for hydropower and thermal power plants in the country for submission to Vietnam’s Ministry of the Environment and international donors.
