Marie-Claire Paiz

Gabon Program Director, The Nature Conservancy

Marie-Claire Paiz is the Gabon Program Director for The Nature Conservancy, and is responsible for strategy development and overseeing program execution. The Gabon program is focused on the protection and sustainable use of freshwater resources, including providing guidance and technical support for sustainable hydropower development in country. Mrs. Paiz has worked for over two decades leading conservation programs in Latin-America and Africa, thirteen of those with TNC. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Guatemala's Universidad del Valle, and a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
