Multimedia Manager / Digital Designer

  • Salary: £35k-45k (depending on experience) plus benefits

We are looking for a creative communicator with a strong design background and a talent for delivering eye-catching, accessible content about technical topics. Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in leading digital projects, managing state-of-the-art websites and creating a variety of multimedia content. You will possess an impressive portfolio of projects, such as creative websites, infographics, video content, motion-graphics and e-books.

We are the International Hydropower Association, based in London, a not-for-profit organisation serving a worldwide network of members. Our objective is to build and share knowledge on hydropower’s role in clean energy systems, responsible freshwater management and climate change solutions. We work in partnership with industry, researchers, governments, NGOs and financial institutions.

The Multimedia Manager/Digital Designer (depending on experience) is a new position within our communications team. The main focus will be on a major European project to demonstrate new hydropower technologies which provide flexibility to support the greater use of other renewables, such as wind and solar power.

The successful candidate will design and manage an online knowledge hub and create a variety of multimedia content to communicate technological innovations across Europe. Additional responsibilities will include relaunching and updating our existing websites and other multimedia resources.

Key requirements

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven success in specifying and managing new websites
  • Sound knowledge of creative software
  • Enthusiasm for multimedia innovation
  • Demonstrable creative design skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Keen interest in sustainability and the energy transition
  • Excellent English
  • Ability to work well in a team
