2017 WHC: session reports

The World Hydropower Congress (WHC) is a biennial event bringing together leaders and specialists with hydropower-related responsibilities from government, industry, finance, UN agencies, academia and civil society. The WHC is open to delegates from all countries and regions where hydropower is on the agenda.

In 2017, more than 600 decision-makers and experts from 60 countries gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to discuss solutions for the most important issues facing the sector. The reports below summarise discussions and outcomes of the sessions that addressed more than 20 topics, including: climate resilience, renewable energy systems, sustainability and finance.
