Industrial Development Officer, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)

Rana Pratap Singh has over 23 years of experience, and has been working at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) since 2007. His work mainly relates to scaling up renewable energy portfolios in many countries around the world, by reinforcing policy, strengthening institutions, demonstrating projects and building national capacity.

He has experience of working on projects and assignments from across the world, most of which relate to small hydropower. His contributions consist of the development of several projects, authored manuals, reports, and published journal papers. He has appeared on radio and TV interviews and received recognition and awards at international level.

His high recognition and testimonials include: UNIDO Champion for Promoting Organizational Change 2016; Prime minister of Bangladesh project appreciation award 2015; The Jean-Pierre BRANS award 2015 for decision making; UNIDO Exemplary Excellence Award 2012 for energy development in Africa; and the Certificate of appreciation 2008 from President of Indonesia for energy access.
