Global Renewables Alliance Invites the World to Double Down on Tripling Up

Together with the Global Renewables Alliance, IRENA and more than 250 other organizations, IHA call on world leaders to agree a global target of tripling renewable electricity capacity to at least 11,000 GW by 2030 at COP28.

A rapid acceleration of the deployment of renewable energy this decade will be the fastest and most cost efficient way to decarbonise the global economy.

Analysis in IRENA’s World Energy Transition Outlook identifies tripling renewable energy to at least 11,000 GW by 2030 as the key to keeping the 1.5°C climate target within reach.

The message is simple: Tripling #renewableenergy is one of the most impactful commitments the global community can undertake now to secure a liveable future for all.
