We are joining theInternational Hydropower Association (IHA) at a time when the global hydropowerindustry is increasingly focused on asset life extension, reliability, andsustainable operation. With many hydro assets operating beyond their originaldesign life, operators require trusted technical partners who can deliverproven refurbishment and manufacturing solutions. IHA membership allows us tocollaborate with OEM’s, industry leaders, share practical experience, andcontribute to the development of best practice across the sector.
A recent project weare particularly proud of involved the refurbishment and life-extension oflarge turbine, guide, and thrust bearings for a major Australasian hydrooperator during a critical Class 4 outage. By restoring the bearings tooriginal OEM dimensional and metallurgical specifications, we helped extendoperational life by several decades, reduce unplanned outage risk, and avoidthe significant environmental and financial cost of full replacement.
Sustainability iscentral to our approach. Our refurbishment and remanufacturing processessignificantly reduce raw material use, energy consumption, and carbon emissionscompared with new manufacture. We invest in advanced casting, machining,inspection, and quality-control systems to maximise bearing reliability andefficiency, supporting improved turbine performance and reduced losses. We alsoprioritise responsible sourcing, waste minimisation, and continuous improvementin our manufacturing operations.
