Ganz Electric is a well known name in T&D business worldwide. Following the reorganisation in 2020, the company, now called Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Plc. is a fully Hungarian-owned leading player in the domestic and international markets for the manufacture and service of transformers, heavy-duty electric motors and generators.  

In 2023, we celebrated the 145th anniversary of the founding of the Electrotechnical Department of Ganz in 1878. Ganz Electric is a specialist, providing high quality products and unique solutions for our customers. We produce our unique products with today’s modern design and technological solutions. We produce transformers for several applications in a wide range of powers from 40 to 600 MVA on 72,5-800 kV voltage levels. Our Rotating Machines division is specialized in the manufacture of MV & HV induction motors from 500 kW to 15 MW and synchronous generators from 1 to 50 MVA. Our dedicated Service department provides all kinds of services to our clients such as delivery of spare parts, installation and commissioning, and refurbishment of existing equipment (incl. other OEM’s equipment). Ganz Electric also launched its own asset monitoring and digitalization brand, GANZ Intelligent Solutions in 2022, and restarted the in-house steel structure factory in 2023.
