Khyati Gupta

Khyati Gupta joined the International Hydropower Association (IHA) in February 2026 as India Regional Lead, bringing with her over 21 years of experience across the power and energy sector. Based in New Delhi, she is responsible for strengthening IHA’s presence in India by deepening engagement with national institutions and key stakeholders, supporting Indian members, monitoring policy and regulatory developments, and leading advocacy and partnership initiatives that reinforce the role of hydropower in India’s evolving energy landscape. She is well networked across government, industry, financial institutions, and the broader energy ecosystem, enabling effective collaboration and influence.

Prior to joining IHA, Khyati has worked with leading national and international organisations including PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Asian Development Bank, GMR, and ANDRITZ Hydro, among others. Her career spans a wide range of roles across consulting, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), project developers, and multilateral donor agencies, giving her a holistic and well-rounded understanding of the sector. This diverse experience enables her to effectively bridge policy, technology, finance, and implementation perspectives within the hydropower ecosystem.
