Will Henley manages IHA's external communications, media outreach and engagement with key audiences, partners and members. This involves overseeing the organisation's digital platforms, including IHA's websites and social media, and managing the production of publications and briefings.

Will joined IHA as Head of Communications in September 2017. He has extensive experience as a communications strategist working in international development, corporate sustainability, government, energy, finance and infrastructure sectors.

He previously worked at the Commonwealth Secretariat, an intergovernmental agency of 54 member states, and worked as a journalist and as a contributor to The Guardian's Sustainable Business section. In his early career, he worked for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kosovo and Macedonia, and as a ministerial aide in the Home Office, in the UK Government.

Will holds a first-class degree in international relations and a post-graduate diploma in journalism. He is also a keen kayaker and river user.
