Strengthening hydropower's performance

The International Hydropower Association (IHA) has played a leading role in improving understanding about good and best practices in hydropower development and operations.

IHA is one of a number organisations that supported the development of the Hydropower Sustainability Standard and associated guidelines and tools. These are used for guiding projects to adhere to international environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance criteria.

Our training and capacity building courses are also geared towards companies that seek to develop or report on projects which meet good and best practice.
