The Global Alliance for Pumped Storage (GAPS) will meet on 13 November 2026 to discuss progress across the Alliance’s work and the role of pumped storage in strengthening energy security and electricity systems.

The meeting will open with remarks from IHA President Malcolm Turnbull, followed by updates from IHA Deputy Head of Policy Rebecca Ellis on GAPS’ ongoing work and activities. Representatives from governments, international financial institutions and international agencies will also share recent developments and perspectives.

IHA CEO Eddie Rich will close the meeting with a discussion of next steps for the Alliance.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format during COP31 in Türkiye.
