Leading Korean energy provider joins the International Hydropower Association

Korea South-East Power (KOEN) has become a member of the International Hydropower Association (IHA), reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy development and supporting the transition towards a low-carbon future.

Established in 2001, KOEN is one of the Republic of Korea’s leading energy providers, supplying reliable electricity while contributing to national development and public welfare.  

Headquartered in Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, the company is expanding its renewable energy portfolio; developing clean hydrogen power infrastructure and strengthening its presence in global energy markets. These initiatives are helping to accelerate the shift towards a more sustainable and resilient energy system.

By pursuing innovative energy solutions and investing in future growth drivers, KOEN is supporting Korea’s carbon neutrality ambitions while ensuring the continued delivery of reliable and affordable energy.
