Global Renewables Summit

September 22-23, 2025 | New York City, United States

The Summit is closed door – by invitation only

The Global Renewables Summit returns to New York during the UN General Assembly and Climate Week NYC, bringing together heads of state, ministers, CEOs, investors and international organisations to accelerate the global clean energy transition.

Building on its landmark debut in 2024, the 2025 edition will showcase the breakthroughs driving the renewable energy boom and set the stage for the next wave of political commitments and private-sector leadership.

Hosted by the Global Renewables Alliance in partnership with the European Commission, the COP30 Presidency, the Governments of Bahamas and Kenya, and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Summit is a key milestone on the road to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.

Discussions will focus on national energy plans, grids and storage, financing for emerging markets, and aligning action with the global goal to triple renewable capacity by 2030.

IHA will be represented by the Global Renewables Alliance and Debbie Gray, North America Regional Lead, who will be speaking at the Future-Proof Power Systems: Flexibility, Storage, Grids and Interconnections session along with the CEO Roundtable.

It is more important now than ever to include hydropower and pumped storage hydropower in these conversations as it is the backbone for the clean energy system.
