Event description

The 26th ICOLD (International Commission on Large Dams) World Congress in combination with the 86th ICOLD Annual Meeting and the ATCOLD Symposium Hydro Engineering will be held in Vienna, Austria in July 2018.

The congress is aimed at companies and professionals involved in the implementation of dam projects for the generation of energy from renewable sources, water supply and water protection structures. The focus of the discussion is the exchange and deepening of knowledge about dams, as well as the maintenance of the high level of practical and scientific competence in the relevant disciplines.

The conference programme will include interesting study tours to high-head pumped storage plants, run-of-river plants and excellent examples of Austrian dams at high elevation in the Alps.

The cultural programme for participants and accompanying persons will include musical performances and excursions to some of Austria’s most impressive sites.
